Nzema Youth Association Set for its Official re-Launch in September,2015.


About us:

The Nzema Youth Association (NYA), is a registered Association created to represent the youth from inside and outside Nzema with the singular vision of championing progress and elevating poverty into the deep seas.

The NYA has been in existence for the past five years with proud track records of being non-partisan and with successful records of community services and the promotion of communal patriotism.

The official re-launch of the citizen`s movement is set to take place from the 11th  to 13th September, 2015.

The formal launch of the association takes place in Esiama, at the campus of the Esiama Secondary Technical Senior High School with our guest speaker as Professor Kofi Blay (Professor in Sociology and Criminology) Former Head of Sociology Department of the University of Delaware USA.

Present at the event will include our respected Traditional rulers, our seasoned politicians, business men and business women, other development Associations and NGOs and all the good and welcoming people of our motherland as well as other invited guests from other parts of the western region.

The Awulae Attibrukusu III Foundation was launched in Planters Lodge at Takoradi last Friday 31st of July, 2015 with a call on citizens to harness vital resources to partner government and all other major stakeholders within and out of Ghana in the spheres of education, employable skills, entrepreneurship development and environmental sustainability initiatives in the Western region.


Present at the inauguration were the Omanhene of lower Axim traditional area AWULAE ATTIBRUKUSU III, the deputy western regional minister ABBOTT, Member of Parliament for Takoradi Kwabena Okyere Darko, Dr tony Aubyn, Nana Kwesi Agyeman VIIII omanhene of lower Discove, Awulae Amihere Omanhene of Atuabo, Senator Kwabena Brigadi and Dr. George Sipa Yankey chief executive officer of the Ghana Gas company who represented H. E the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.


Mr. George Sipa Yankey, a board of trustee in an interview, said initiatives like what Awulae has undertaken was what society needed to drive the vehicle for development of our region which is already behind development. He said the foundation was not targeting Nzema alone but the entire nation.



Presenting a cheque of GH₵2000 to the foundation on behalf of the Nzema Youth Association (NYA), Mr. Elijah Boye-Ampah an astute gentleman who has the welfare of the Nzema Youth at heart took charge of the cost of the donation.
Former vice president of NYA Mr. Anyimah Ofoli Kanrah who was present immensely thanked Mr.Elijah Boye-Ampah for the good gesture and urged others to emulate his kind support.
The development driven citizens movement is as well grateful to Awulae Attibrukusu III and his partners for this great initiative.


Mr. Ofoli Kanrah indicated that communities in Nzema are faced with numerous challenges and unless the citizens took initiatives to partner government in areas like education and health, the future could not be all that bright.

The public relations officer of NYA, Sultan Nuhu Mohammed also urged the numerous profit driven business organizations, government and non governmental organizations in the region and all who could be of help to the Awulae Attibrukusu III Foundation to assist it to achieve its development driven mandate.


He called on other traditional leaders and capable citizens who have been blessed to emulate what Awulae Attibrukusu III has done to equally work hard to bring hope to their people.

Mr. Nuhu also thanked the dedicated members of the Nzema Youth Association who would not want to be identified publicly for the donation on behalf of the association.

Speaking on the upcoming relaunch of the Nzema Youth Asso. which is coming on in September, he said all the necessary preparations have been put in place and its venue has been secured.


He also appealed to all to empower the Nzema Youth Association to carry out its mandate of helping to uplift the current status of Nzema.
